the essential
Author, composer, performer, Thomas Grasset aka Flowindz will be at the Métronum in Toulouse on January 15 for the 4th edition of the Fraîcheurs Toulousaines festival of which he is the creator. A 20-year-old artist full of promise.
He is young and enthusiastic. Thomas Grasset, aka Flowindz, is at the age of daring and doesn’t shy away from it. Author, composer, performer for six years, this boy with a romantic physique created the Fraîcheurs Toulousaines festival in June 2023, to immerse new talents: “At that time, I was wondering, he explains. How to make a concert, reaching labels, creating an audience with the public? Many young emerging Toulouse artists were in my case. A year ago, I launched the first edition of this festival to give to young artists. an opportunity to make a living from their passion.”
Since then, if Thomas continues to organize this festival, he has gradually withdrawn from the programming to continue his path towards other horizons: “Thanks to this festival I was able to reach both the public and social networks , post my songs on TikTok and Instagram where it works really well with more than 10 million views since the start, daily, with perseverance, I posted my songs and it paid off.
“Learn on the job to become an artist”
Thomas’ richness is also the range of his musical style: electro pop, freak, etc. “I was inspired by Justice, electronic music group, Dark Funk, Tame Impala, psychedelic musical project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker , by the synths of the 80s, from current Pop to the French Touch Electro of recent years, or even by the French electro group M83, he explains. My goal is to release EPs and vinyls that. bring together all this musical mosaic.

For the moment everything seems to be working well. I should also release an album in 2025.” Although Thomas did not grow up in a particularly musical family environment, he had a father who was keen on diverse music “he listened to everything. This is the real wealth”, estimates Thomas who for a year followed courses on sound professions at the ISPRA School in Toulouse. I stopped a year later out of a desire to learn on the job “how become an artist”. A decision which apparently worked out quite well for this young talent promised to great things.
