Author, director and director of the Avignon Festival, Tiago Rodrigues returns to his first play. Written and created in Lisbon in 2007, Choir of lovers is a lyrical and polyphonic story where a couple tells in two voices the condition of life and death they are going through when one of them feels suffocated. By juxtaposing slightly different versions of the same events, the play explores a moment of crisis, like a race against time, where everything is threatened and everyone finds the life force of love. Tiago Rodrigues invites Alma Palacios and David Geselson to give substance to these two characters he invented. He imagines what happened to them all these years: “Questioning my characters about their experiences is like asking myself about the experiences of my theater since I started writing».
Performances on January 16 and 17 at 8 p.m., January 18 at 6 p.m. and January 19 at 4 p.m. at the Théâtre du Nord in Lille.
