On March 9, 2024, the young Sauternes Mon Village association, chaired by Sophie Marc, organized for the first time in Sauternes (Gironde), near Langon, a Irish evening.
Success was there. The association therefore decided to organize a new Irish evening… without waiting for Saint Patrick’s Day.
A demonstration of Celtic dances
The event will take place on Saturday February 15, 2025 at the Sauternes village hall.
There will be a meala demonstration of Celtic dances and a concert by the Julien Loko Irish Band. It will be a unique immersion in the Irish musical tradition.
5 musicians
Julien LOko Irish Band is made up of 5 musicians: Julien LOko: lead vocals and guitar; Xi Liu: fiddler; Nicolas Veysseyre: bass; Lucas Pyck: electric guitar; Lionel Bertrand: drums.
Julien Loko is in fact a French singer and songwriter.
His quartet or quintet formation covers essential Irish standards and timeless and captivating ballads.
With Julien on vocals and guitar, the group offers original compositions inspired by Celtic sounds.
A great opportunity to spend an evening in Ireland while remaining in France.
