Would January be the ideal month to complete your biggest or craziest projects? Toulouse will receive a good number of salons this weekend, and not only that. Here are some outing ideas for Saturday January 11 and Sunday January 12, 2025.
#1. Wedding fair
Any plans for the year or for later? Or just the desire to give yourself some glitter in your eyes? More than 120 exhibitors gather at MEETT of Toulouse this weekend on the occasion of the Occitanie Wedding Fairfrom this Saturday, January 11, 10 a.m., and until Sunday, January 12, 7 p.m.
On the program: fashion shows three times a day, dress fittings, presentation of more than 20,000 wedding rings, tastings… All with private sales offering some discounts. Count on €10 for entry on site and €5.99 if you buy it online.
#2. Tattoo parlor
After last year’s fiasco, caused by heating problems, the tattoo parlor is making a comeback in Toulouse. On the same date, but not in the same place! This time, the Toulouse Tattoo Convention will take place at the convention center Diagora in Labège.
This Saturday January 11 and Sunday January 12, 2025, more than 250 artists will come together, with big names like Denis Carvalho and the Thai Sakyant specialist, Arjon Non. Some even come from far away: from Italy, Portugal, Spain… In short, the meeting is unmissable for lovers of ink on skin, but also of music since shows et concerts will also be there. Price-wise, you have to pay €10 for the day and €15 for the weekend.
#3. Drums in the city center
A taste of carnival? While waiting for the big meeting, Saturdays will vibrate to the rhythm of percussions in the Pink City. This January 11, we will hear them from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Place Olivier in Saint-Cyprien and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Charles de Gaulle Square behind the Capitol. Caribbean sounds and dances on the menu!
#4. Low-cost cultural visits
This weekend is the perfect opportunity for small budgets to fill up on cultural anecdotes via a guided tour. A “frozen prices” operation launched by the tourist office, started on January 6 and runs until February 7. With the promo code “FREEZE2025”, it is possible to reserve a guided tour for 8€. This Saturday at 3 p.m., she will take you (re)discover a concentrate of Toulouse heritage, between the Jacobins convent and the private mansions. And Sunday at 3 p.m., it will immerse you in the time of Cathars in Toulouse.
#5. Night of stories
Poetry and wonderful stories promise to amaze children this Saturday, January 11 for the Night of Storiesplace André Abbal in La Reynerie. Four free shows for the little ones (from 4 to 12 years old), will follow after the opening launched by the show “Daroukada”, at 3:45 p.m. Between 5 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., the art of words will then mix circus workshops, make-up session and introduction to graffiti. The final show, “Brannkrigere,” will take place at 9:45 p.m.
