The festivals Visions of Reality unveils the series of posters for its 56th edition (April 4—13, 2025). This proposal combines the talent of the Swiss photographer Nicolas Haeni to the graphic elegance of the graphic designer duo Eilean Friis Lund et Alice Vodozwhich is collaborating with the Festival for the third edition.

Le concept 2025
While the visual identity has been broken down, since 2020, into triptychs of distinct scenes, 2025 will draw on the thread of a sequence – such a natural echo of the language of cinema – to immortalize a summer toboggan run in a leisure resort in the Vaudois Alps.

A scene completed by a striking and contemporary typographic choice. Not without a certain taste for irony, the photographer here digs into his father’s directing work in “everyday” scenes with a joyfully irreverent tone. The Alpine setting, which can seem as emblematic of Switzerland as it is inevitably touristy, seems on the contrary to exacerbate a moment of change: it becomes a witness to the changes in our world.

In this sequence captured from life, the boundaries between reality and staging, pleasant and shocking, change of scenery and comfort are blurred. It is this subtle play of contrasts and subjectivities that Visions du Réel invites you to explore in its 56th edition which already promises to be rich in sensations and adventure.

Alice Vodoz and Eilean Friis-Lund
These two graphic designers are based in Lausanne and work in the cultural field. Their approach to design is collaborative and interested in all forms of culture. Fascinated by craftsmanship, they explore the notion of tools – both analog and digital – in the different phases of design and production of their projects. They collaborate in particular with the Swiss Awards (2022, 2023, 2024), the emerging art festival Les Urbaines (2020, 2021), the independent art space Tunnel Tunnel (since 2016) as well as Visions du Réel since 2023 Their practice includes the design of graphic identities, publications and books, websites, signage and artistic direction.

Nicolas Haeni
Nicolas Haeni was born in 1984 in Switzerland. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Photography (2009) and his Master’s degree in Art Direction and Photography (2011), Nicolas worked on human sculpture and photography, nourishing his obsession with everyday objects by producing images that express his point view through the material. He brings humor to the daily routine and cheerfully mixes people and products. It transforms visual objects that we are accustomed to on a daily basis and immerses us in a very personal vision of our environment.
