After telling the Montreal Journal that he was confused about the death of his character in STATPatrick Labbé wanted to qualify his comments on the daily’s Facebook page where he apologized to the team.
In a message addressed to the author Marie-Andrée Labbé and the producer Fabienne Larouche, the experienced actor formulated a “sincere apology”, saying that his “remarks, during the interview given to Montreal Journalmay have caused harm or been badly perceived.

“My intention was never to criticize the production or to highlight negative aspects,” continues Mr. Labbé on Facebook. My goal was simply to share my personal feelings and the emotions I experienced while saying goodbye to a character that I had so much fun playing.”
“I understand, by reading the article, that my words could have been misinterpreted, and I take full responsibility for this misunderstanding. I would like to reiterate my respect for your work, for the production team, and for all the care taken to tell such a captivating story.”
In the Montreal JournalPatrick Labbé told journalist Sarah-Émilie Nault: “My agent called me 22 times, I was filming. He told me that Philippe was going to die. I still remember the uneasiness and discomfort of that day. It was almost two months ago.”
He continued: “I left the set at the beginning of December. The reality was that Philippe was dead, that it was all over for me, but that was the punchline. So, throughout the holidays, I had to endure this last straw of not being able to say anything and feeling all these emotions.”

Patrick Labbé has worked with Fabienne Larouche since the end of the 1980s. At the time, he had filmed in Launch & countthe first heavy series that Ms. Larouche co-wrote. He was also notably a star of District 31another daily newspaper by Mr. Larouche in which his character had also been killed, it should be noted.
