Barely finished, the Trophée National du Cross (TNC) challenge will soon be back in action, with a first stage scheduled for Sunday January 12 in Pau. Indeed, the 2024 calendar, more spread out, ended on December 15 on the Durtal side. The championship crowned Drunkenness of Estruvala resident of Hector de Lageneste and Guillaume Macaire, who defends the colors of Bernard Le Gentil, who raised her. In addition to the bonus awarded to the winner (€25,000), a covering of Mendocino was also given to them by the Haras du Lion, partner of the event. Tuesday, the National Cross Trophy, hosted by its representative, Lucien Matzinger, took stock. Different subjects were discussed, such as the addition of a new stage, on Sunday July 20 in Segré. Another new feature for 2025, the parades planned before the various events will be added to the racing conditions, so that each professional is informed. At the same time, good statistics were observed on social networks, in particular through on-board videos produced by the media France Sire, which places cameras on several jockeys during each stage. This helps to further highlight the discipline of Cross-Country. Sometimes shunned by certain owners, it seems to be in a favorable dynamic. The starters were also there throughout the year, since only one stage brought together fewer than eight starters. Finally, the various partnerships were renewed.
