From February 15 to March 3it’s time for February vacation for little Parisians! For the occasion, many museums in Paris and Île-de-France are offering activities and entertainment for childrenas in museum of relief plans with workshops for young and old, from 6 years old.
On the program of these February 2025 vacation au Museum of Plans-Reliefswe find creative activities for children from 6 years old. Your children have the choice between building a citadel in Kapla, creating a metal map, playing a strategy game… Each workshop is single price of €7accompanying adults do not pay to attend with their children.
The Musée des Plans Relief, located in the Hôtel des Invalides in Paris, brings together around a hundred relief plans of fortified cities. The Plans-Reliefs museum is located within the Hôtel des Invalides. It presents a collection of models in relief plans that is unique, rich and accessible, even for the youngest.

Build your citadel in Kapla
After exploring the museum, young and old will use KAPLA construction games to reproduce the fortifications on the relief plans.

Apprentice strategists
Take part in the siege of Toulon in 1793 alongside Napoleon Bonaparte, thanks to the relief plan of the city and a strategy game based on a large map taken from the museum’s archives.

Metal cards
Create a personalized gold or silver card in the workshop: inspired by the tradition of pilgrimage signs, the children will put the embossed metal technique into practice for a creation in relief!

In the spirit of Vauban
How did Vauban defend and attack fortified cities at the time of Louis XIV? Answer in the museum by observing the relief plans, then head to the workshop with a strategy game around a large model of a fortification: construction of a stronghold, choice of the location of the cannons, the number of soldiers, crossfire… are on the program!

In the time of the citadels
An activity to learn everything about the construction of citadels by browsing the collection of relief plans, with the addition of creating a small model in the workshop, to take home!
