Jean-Philippe Daguerre explains that he was guided by two subjects for this piece. “The first is retirement. This little death into which we are plunged from one day to the next and where we try to enjoy our old days by spending our little money while waiting for the real end. The second subject concerns the preconceptions that mark our lives. A priori guided most often by everything that suits our conscience, particularly in terms of our vision of people foreign to our culture, to our social, political or religious family. It is by confronting these two subjects that I came to imagine the story of Agnès, a powerful and fortunate woman, just retired who, thanks to the dramatic circumstances which affect her new life, will find her salvation in meeting a couple of Georgian undocumented immigrants struck by tragedy. »

Florence Pernel plays Agnès Duval, a powerful woman who built 27 buildings for a large construction group. Professional success and Legion of Honor in her pocket, the heroine decides to take early retirement, to enjoy life, her family and her fortune. Nothing goes as planned: her husband and daughter move away, she lives alone, without family and without friends until her gardener introduces her to two undocumented immigrants.

As always with Jean-Philippe Daguerre, convictions are questioned with humor as much as rich-poor situations. Florence Pernel wowed critics as Bernard Malaka in the role of the husband.
