For this return to school, cinema Le Capitole in Uzès, Le Ciné des possible and the Peasant Confederation offer, Sunday January 5, to discover or rediscover the film by Yannis Youlountas, “We are not afraid of ruins”.
A film in Uzès on the history of Greece
This film covers the history of Greece from 2019 to 2023. A period where Kyriákos Mitsotakis replaces Aléxis Tsipras in power and promises to put an end to Exarcheia, a rebellious and united district of Athens. But resistance is organized and reinforcements arrive from other cities in Europe.
In this film, over the years, other struggles extend from the north to the south of Greece to defend the land, the sea and life. When everything seems to be falling apart, Athens as elsewhere, the same response is heard: “We are not afraid of ruins, we carry a new world in our hearts”.
An evening proposed and hosted by the Confédération paysanne, Sunday January 5 at 8:30 p.m. Yannis Youlountas will be present. Small meals from 6 p.m. with the Pollen refreshment bar.
