[VIDÉO] Meghan Markle is back on Instagram, filmed by Prince Harry

Meghan Markle returned to Instagram on the 1^is January, after almost five years of absence on the platform.

The account, officially attributed to the Duchess of Sussex, is titled @meghan and already has more than 700,000 subscribers the day after its activation. To mark her comeback, Prince Harry’s wife chose simplicity by publishing a short black and white video, where she appears from behind on a beach and writes “2025” in the sand.

According to Peoplethis video was reportedly filmed by Prince Harry on a beach near their home in Montecito, California. This post surfaces more than two years after the mother of Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, discussed her return to the platform during an interview with The Cut.

“Do you want to know a secret?”, she confided in August 2022. “I’m going to come back… on Instagram.”

Meghan Markle previously managed the Instagram account The Tig, alongside her blog lifestyle of the same name. But she closed that account in 2017 after her engagement to the king’s second son, Charles III.

The magazine People reported that the former actress is “excited to return to social media to reconnect with communities around the world and share news about her projects.”
