For the first concert of the year, Jean-Claude Langot, president of Carantec Culture, meets music lovers on Saturday January 18, at 8:30 p.m., at the Espace des Minimes in Saint-Pol-de-Léon. On the program, a voice and piano recital with Chantal Santon Jeffery who performs on the most beautiful stages in the world and whose voice allows her to tackle numerous repertoires, notably opera and Daria Fadeeva, of Belarusian origin, graduate from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et danse de Paris, specializing in old keyboard instruments, notably the pianoforte and the clavichord. The duo offers to explore the melodies and lieder from different eras on the theme of travel, including extracts from the great cycle “Winter Journey” by Schubert, the melodies of Liszt composed during his “Years of Pilgrimage”, the poems of Baudelaire set to music by Henri Duparc, “Les nuits d’été” by Hector Berlioz and some forays into the 20th century, including “Les voyages” by Barbara.
