The long awaited episode of Murders in Puy-en-Velay will be broadcast this Saturday, December 28 at 9:05 p.m. on France 3. The 9th episode of season 11 of the series Murders in… which lasts 90 minutes, should attract around 4 million viewers.
At the end of November, a preview in the presence of the film teams was a full house at the Ciné Dyke du Puy, and delighted the Altiligerians present.
The Ponote star city of the small screen
You may have encountered them in the streets of Le Puy last spring. Actress Gaëlle Bona plays Marion Cazake, a 30-year-old police lieutenant. Next to him, Thomas Jouannet plays Martin Jimenez, a temperamental captain.
But it is above all Puy-en-Velay which is the star of the prime time of the Christmas holidays. Its alleys, its heritage and its unique atmosphere serve as a setting for the episode, which also returns to Ponote legends. The episode is inspired by the legend of the Stone of Fevers.

“The film will be very mineral because the city is volcanic, this will give a very tense atmosphere and with a lot of emotion. It will be beautiful because the city is beautiful. We are going to magnify things. There are going to be shots with the drone which allows you to do amazing things,” according to Laurence Katrian, the director.
Filming conditions “more technical than elsewhere”
It was under the leadership of producer Camille Ghanassia and the Rose Mécanique Production teams that Le Puy was chosen to serve as the setting. A setting that complicated the filming conditions last spring: “It’s a huge setup, it’s more technical than elsewhere. We’re not on flat, big avenues… We’re going to have to bring all the equipment up to the upper town, climb the steps. We had to double the teams,” said the producer.
A mystery to solve and an illness to hide
The story begins near the Fever Stone, in the old town. Lieutenant Marion Cazale goes there to make a wish. She then discovers the body of a young woman, lying with her arms crossed. But the autopsy gives no explanation as to the causes of death.
The heroine then embarks on a quest for truth, in addition to her fight against her type 1 diabetes, which she hides from those around her and which threatens her eyesight.
