The return of the Monogram by Takashi Murakami

However, everything changed in 2003, when Marc Jacobs, then artistic director of the Louis Vuitton house, invited the Japanese to reinvent the famous Monogram. The result? Unique, luxurious and daring multi-colored pieces that shake up the fashion world by shaking up established codes.

As surprising as they are attractive, these models, later coveted by collectors, are among the most desirable creations of the early 2000s. With this reissue, Louis Vuitton and Murakami wish to pay tribute to their legendary collaboration.

Among the 200 new models unveiled, we find iconic accessories adorned with the Jardin Superflat print, such as a travel bag Keepall or a mini bag Nasturtiumsalongside kawaii pieces faithful to the artist’s crazy and colorful universe like a key ring Panda – or the gri-gri par excellence.

But if we had to keep only one favorite, it would surely be the pair of heeled sandals in monogram white canvas. Very BB in Saint-Tropez, they will undoubtedly experience dazzling success…
