There are many renowned chefs from ! Among them: Guy Savoy. As a reminder, Sonia Mabrouk's ex has had two stars in the Michelin Guide since 1985 (he had a third until 2022). Very recently, our colleagues from La Tribune Sunday went to meet him, in his restaurant at the Monnaie de . An interview to be found in their edition of Sunday December 22, 2024. The opportunity to learn a lot about the man who became the first conductor to be elected to the Academy of Fine Arts last November.

Particularly on his habits, when he is not in the kitchen in Paris: “I escape two weekends a month to the mountains. I find my fox there, Anatole, the snow-covered fir trees, or the cows in the pastures. Over there, it's the total gland. I walk, ride my bike, prepare food with my friends. I can also take refuge not very far away in my small hermitage of 65 square meters at 1700 meters above sea level, without electricity.with a fireplace, wood stove and stone stove in the bedroom. In this best cabin in the world, I always feel reassured.”

Guy Savoy “in total autonomy” in his cabin in the Alps

Let us remember that he had already mentioned his cabin in the Alps last year in the pages of Parisian : “I live there almost independently with solar panels for lighting, and a wood stove for hot water and cooking. I can do just about anything with this stove: simmer, grill, even bake a pie. Last weekend, I prepared a lamb stew with pieces of collar and flank that I roasted well in the casserole dish, with large onions. I accompanied it with potatoes and unpeeled garlic cloves. I served it with a little veal jus, it was perfect..”

To return to his interview with La Tribune Sundayhe therefore explains to the magazine that he feels “reassured” in his cabin. A word he uses regularly for a very specific reason: “I need it. You know, I was a stutterer for a very long time. I was made fun of a lot. When you have teachers at the end of your second year who think you're an idiot because you say you want to be a cook, it's very violent.
