The concept store, L'Interprète, rue Sainte-Ursule revisits design in all its forms. The opportunity to finalize your Christmas shopping with original and local gifts.
It’s a real showcase of little wonders. Nestled on rue Sainte-Ursule, the concept store “L'Interprète” revisits design with objects lifestyle and contemporary furniture. A store created ten years ago by three decoration enthusiasts: Karène, Véronique and David. “The name of the store reveals each person’s desire,” explains Karène. “Interpreting art according to our favorites and our desires.”
In a bright and colorful atmosphere, the objects are displayed, each more original than the other: 100% artisanal and customizable bricks are manufactured in Grépiac (Haute-Garonne), by the Briquetier brand, a former brickworks. Real ocher brick, they either feature the symbol of the Pink City, stamped with different districts of Toulouse: Bourse, Capitole, Carmes, etc. “Either the chocolatine inscription to symbolize the famous debate around the name of pain au chocolat and chocolatine,” explains Kéréne. There is also the Toulouse brand Reine Mère, specialized in furniture, mirrors and the famous door holders. chocolat and chocolatine keys, definitely very popular with the public”. The Filament brand is also in majesty in this business, especially since it is exclusive to the store: “This company based in Albi creates decorative elements: vases, lamps entirely made using 3D printing. These creations have also been a real success with our customers for Christmas.
Last minute Christmas ideas
Objects passionately found during trips, trade shows and fairs by this decidedly very creative trio: “To settle on one of these products, we must feel a real crush despite our different outlook on the object”. In this shop, which is worth the detour, Karène has some last-minute gift ideas: plaster plaques engraved with different inscriptions: “Make a wish”, “Lucky star” “Listen to your heart and your mother”. The famous Balloon Dogs, monumental sculpture of a dog sculpted from a stainless steel balloon, signed Jeff Koons. Or the metal “skyline” city silhouettes that boldly cross Paris, Toulouse or New York. A minimalist decoration that fits perfectly into any decor.
