Jonathan Bailey has admitted that fame hasn't been easy to deal with after being thrust into the spotlight thanks to his role as Lord Anthony Bridgerton in the hit Netflix series, 'The Bridgerton Chronicles'.

“I found it quite difficult after the release of Bridgerton,” he confided in an interview with “Vogue”. I really struggled at the beginning, I was overwhelmed by the events.”

The actor also stressed that this sudden notoriety had affected those close to him. “The people in your life have to adapt too, and that's the hardest part: you see them struggling before you even realize what's happening, like someone walking past your parents to take a photo. Today, I know how to say no to photos without hesitation.”

Asked about the risk of “getting a big head” as his career continues to soar, Jonathan Bailey replied with humor: “We'll see. It would be nice for you to keep an eye on me in the years to come and let me know if I'm okay or if I've fallen into the trap (editor’s note: from fame)

Jonathan Bailey joined “The Bridgerton Chronicles” in 2020, and his return is confirmed for the fourth season, scheduled for 2026. In addition, he recently played the role of Fiyero in the musical film “Wicked”, alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. The actor will also star in the next installment of “Jurassic World,” where he will share the screen with Scarlett Johansson.
