The Galerie Bleue-Plaimont invites, for its 2nd exhibition, the painter Alain Ballereau. The latter views painting as an adventure. Between intention and wandering, spontaneity and vigilance, it evolves on a set of trails with multiple entries, in search of new territories. At the beginning, the same ritual, prepare the background, the place of expression: two glued sheets of kraft paper, stiffened around their edges. To free the gesture, the artist becomes one with this support, apprehends it in its entity, physically enters the painting on the ground. He walks around it and sometimes approaches it without directing it.
Using large spatulas and spalters, he completely covers the paper with very liquid acrylic juice or the smear of scattered spots aiming to preserve and vibrate the original color to occupy the space, that the painting takes place .
Alain Ballereau creates a rich, protean, serial work, in perpetual renewal. His abundant and homogeneous painting contains the next in germ and leads towards other horizons, other creative impulses.
The exhibition is on view from Monday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sundays and public holidays, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., until Saturday February 22. Free entry. Information from Galerie Bleue, at 05.62.96.69.69.
