The Red Cross, the Protestant Family Association, We Want the Sun and the Order of Malta, these four associations are behind the solidarity meal which was held this Sunday, December 22 in Ménimur. Around forty men and women, most of them homeless, all of them very precarious, took advantage of this moment of relaxation and break around a hot meal offered in the Henri-Matisse center. People that the volunteers of the charitable associations know well to meet them during the maraudes organized in . “Between our four associations, there are raids every evening in the city. This moment of solidarity also allows us to establish understanding between our associations. There is no rivalry on issues of poverty,” explains François Cardron.

After the log, the gifts

While the singer Hocine provided musical entertainment, the guests had their main course brought to them, chicken in cream with morels. As a starter, the Christmas menu included salmon and cake, then to finish, cheese and log for everyone. After the songs, the meal was entertained by a ventriloquist, clowns and a choir. And as there is no Christmas without a gift, the beneficiaries of this day were offered surprise boxes, largely donated by secondary school students from Grand-Champ.
