In addition to their usual visits, volunteers offer joyful get-togethers for Christmas.
A little before Christmas, the VMEH association (Visit of patients in hospital establishments and residents in nursing homes) invited the residents of the Ehpad l'Adoration de Mende to a festive afternoon, as the end of the holiday season approaches. of year. If each week, the volunteer visitors meet the residents individually in their rooms, they wish to bring together all the residents of the house to share a community recreational moment.
This year, the meeting is unusual. To avoid too large a concentration of people in the same place, three entertainment centers have been pre-selected for the well-being of everyone. To do this, the VMEH called on the Mendoise choir, under the direction of Mr. Lasserre, who enchanted his audience, and Mr. Bringer, accordionist, who was able, through the catchy rhythms of his instrument, to attract several elders on the dance floor, while others mixed their voices with those of the singers.
The snack complemented this joyful atmosphere and as usual, everyone enjoyed the traditional Yule log, accompanied by festive sparkling and seasonal papillotes.
Each of the residents received a small gift offered by the VMEH and given by the visitor who visits them every week.
