It was in the presence of François Dols, mayor of Salviac, Frédéric Gineste, departmental councilor, and Rachel French, vice-president of the community of communes, that the president of Animation and culture opened the general assembly. The town hall was thanked for its essential support for the functioning of the association.
The group has a solid base of members and supporters who are very satisfied with the quality of the programming. Spectators sometimes come from neighboring departments. The positive feedback encourages us to continue to sustain an association which is in its 35th year of existence but which we can regret that attendance does not experience the progression that the volunteers would hope for.
Were also thanked: the patrons, the municipal technical team, in particular Gérard Delmon, for their dedication throughout the festival. Bob and Mary make ticketing easier thanks to their investment in Hello Asso. Thanks to priest David Réveillac and the press.
The association's involvement in the life of the town is not limited to the summer festival; for four years it has also offered children in primary school and the last year of nursery school a very popular musical show. An aubade given to the Ehpad for three years by the musicians participating in the festival also delights the residents. Local elected officials present at the meeting encouraged them to continue. The conference entitled “Witch hunting from the Middle Ages to the present day, in the Lot and in Occitanie”, was a great success. The show “The Flute without singing” amazed the children. Lalo Zanelli Trio performed at the Salle Bouriane and was sold out. The Gascons laveurs, a Jazz formation, made Place Cambornac swing. The romantic music festival continues its momentum but the absence of distribution aid and the number of spectators have not allowed the association to achieve financial stability; the balance sheet for the year notes a slight deficit.
