The Collège des Monts et Lacs welcomed the Cie Création Éphémère, from Millau. Thursday, December 12, Marie and Cécile Flahaut presented to the 5 classes the play “La robe rouge de Nonna” adapted from the album by Michel Piquemal. This mediation made it possible to explain the historical context, the rise of fascism in Italy in the 1920s, and the reasons for the Italian family’s flight to France. This true story about forced migration has many resonances in our current world. Friday December 13, all the students accompanied by their teachers attended the theatrical performance in the village hall. And what a spectacle! Nonna talks about what she experienced with her family in Italy, how the black shirts, under the influence of Mussolini, terrorized the population and she finally recounts the terrible event linked to her red dress which pushed this Italian family to flee to France. This moving performance, punctuated by Italian songs, owes its effectiveness to the direction of Kévin Perez who came to explain his choices during the side of the stage which followed the show.
The young audience had many questions to ask the actors and the director, both about the story and the stage choices made. It was a very rich exchange. In the afternoon, the 3rd grade students had the chance to continue the adventure with Cécile and Marie during a workshop on acting.
Such meetings are a plus for young people to open their minds and discover artistic practices.
