The star of Rocky would like to build an underwater barrier in the intracoastal waterway near his home despite the objections of his neighbors in this very prosperous waterfront community.
According to the Palm Beach Postthe 78-year-old actor’s project was billed as a necessary environmental project to prevent debris and algae from entering the waterway.
However, a public notice from the Army Corps states that the “overall objective of the project is to exclude recreational boaters” from the area surrounding the property. Algae would actually be considered a secondary problem.

Neighbors, who would have been blindsided by the proposal, have until 5 p.m. Dec. 25 to provide feedback, according to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
The actor’s petition also includes a request to lease land from the state due to the barrier’s location.
“He bought a beautiful property,” a neighbor of the actor, Bradford Gary, told the newspaper, also calling the house “one of the most beautiful” in the North End neighborhood.
“I understand that we want to protect her. But we cannot just claim property rights and think that the water belongs to us.”
