The autopsy carried out this Sunday, December 15, removed all doubts, if there were any, as to the cause of the death of this resident of Bussières-les-Belmont, which occurred two days previously. Death was indeed caused by repeated blows. The main suspect, a 25-year-old man, was indicted for murder by an investigating judge from the Dijon criminal division. He had been placed in police custody at the Langres gendarmerie research brigade, as revealed the Journal de la Haute-Marne on Saturday.
The alleged perpetrator “still has a somewhat marginal profile” and had just returned to the area of the town where he has family according to the public prosecutor of Chaumont Denis Devallois whom we reached by telephone. Still according to the Prosecutor “he was known to the police but not for acts of violence”, as to the origin of the tragedy the magistrate does not wish to say more for the moment.
The investigation entrusted to the Langres gendarmerie brigade continues, it will have to determine whether the consumption of alcohol could have played an important role or not in this tragedy.
