An evening that goes wrong. While celebrating his 57th birthday in the Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills, Friday, December 13, actor Jamie Foxx found himself involved in an altercation, reports American media CBS News.
According to a representative for Jamie Foxx, contacted by CBS News, an individual seated at another table in this Chinese restaurant “threw a glass” in the face of the actor who was injured in the mouth. “He had to be stitched up with stitches. He is recovering,” his agent added.
Victim of a stroke in 2023
A representative from the Beverly Hills Police Department also told CBS News that they were called on Friday, December 13 to handle a stabbing.
But once on the scene, the police noted that there had in fact been a physical altercation between two individuals in the restaurant, without the use of a bladed weapon. Authorities did not mention Jamie Foxx by name but confirmed that the actor was present at the scene of the incident.
This altercation comes only a few days after Jamie Foxx’s confessions in his new stand-up What Had Happened Was…where he reveals that he suffered a stroke in 2023, following a brain hemorrhage that occurred during the filming of his film Back in Action in Atlanta.
