On the program for this episode of WWE SmackDown on Friday, December 13, 2024, the semi-finals of the tournament for the United States title, LA Knight against Solo Sikoa and a face-to-face between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
Drew McIntyre takes on Bloodline OG
Jimmy Uso opens this episode with a promo. He rejoins the ring, walking with a crutch due to his foot injury. He does not lose motivation, after returning to the victory of Bloodline OG, he announces that 2025 will be his year, that he will perhaps win the Rumble, go on the road to the United States title or the title Universal. Nothing will stop him, he assures.
He was suddenly attacked by Drew McIntyre with a Claymore before referees and officials quickly arrived to prevent the Scot from going any further.
Nia Jax finds Tiffany Stratton backstage and tells her that once she wins the United States Championship, she will no longer need her MITB briefcase.
Backstage, Nick Aldis asks Drew McIntyre to wait for him in his office when Bianca Belair and Naomi approach him. They ask if he knows who attacked Jade Cargill backstage a few weeks ago, but Aldis says the investigation is continuing. Adis also announces that he has no choice but to take away the tag team titles from Belair and Cargill, but Belair refuses. Naomi offers to be the new partner in place of Cargill. Aldis accepts but on the condition that they defend the titles next week.
Michin in the final for the US title
Michin beat Tiffany Stratton by pinfall with her Eat Defeat to earn her place in the finals of the US women’s title tournament.
In a promo video clip, Roman Reigns announces that he will face Solo Sikoa in a match on WWE Raw on January 6 to premiere on Netflix. At stake: his place as Tribal Chief, his Ula Fala.
Carmelo Hayes has a match tonight, but he doesn’t know who his opponent is. It will be a surprise even in the ring. And what a surprise (especially for him): since it’s Braun Strowman who joins the ring for the match. Hayes is delighted.
Braun Strowman beat Carmelo Hayes by pinning with a powerslam.
LA Knight, collateral victim of the New Bloodline
In an interview from the locker room, LA Knight explains that he never wanted to get involved in Bloodline affairs, he doesn’t like anyone in this family, apart from Jey Uso. This evening, he intends to leave his mark on the spirit of Solo Sikoa.
In the ring, Solo Sikoa takes the microphone and is about to do a promo talking to Roman Reigns, but LA Knight enters and interrupts him.
LA Knight defeated Solo Sikoa by disqualification following an intervention by Jacob Fatu.
While the New Bloodline beats Knight, Andrade and Apollo Crews come to his aid but in vain, they too are overpowered.
Backstage, Braun Strowman agrees to be the next Grayson Waller Effect guest on next week’s episode of SmackDown.
Chelsea Green a battu Bayley by pinfall with her Unprettier to qualify for the final of the US women’s title tournament.
Backstage, Candice LeRae and Nia Jax meet up with Tiffany Stratton. LeRae feels sorry for Stratton and her loss in the tournament, and announces that next week she and Nia Jax will face Bianca Belair and Naomi for the WWE Tag Team Championships. LeRae also tells Stratton that maybe she’s not cut out for solo wrestling.

Kevin Owens got out of his car
Time for the face-to-face between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. Michael Cole, in the ring, welcomes Cody Rhodes who enters. Kevin Owens is not coming. Too bad for Rhodes, he will do the interview alone, he says. But as Cole begins to question Rhodes, Owens appears on screen from what appears to have become his headquarters: his car.
Owens says Rhodes used all of his friends to help him finish his story. He calls him bad friends, bad son and bad brother. He also told him that he was more interesting as Stardust.
Cody Rhodes, instead of responding, leaves the ring and goes backstage to find Kevin Owens who suddenly appears and hits Rhodes. The two wrestlers fight backstage, the officials try to separate them but without success.
Rhodes and Owens go to fight in the ring where other officials and security guards join them. Owens will end this segment by hitting Rhodes with his undisputed WWE Championship belt before leaving the ring to close out this episode.
