Tenderly making fun of objects from yesteryear. And observe that, among the public, the return of these relics amuses as much as it moves. This is because, even if times are slipping away, we keep vivid traces of our past, especially when it is our childhood or our adolescence that is recalled.
Slideshow evenings are a good example of this. Classic holiday return rituals where, in the 1970s and 1980s, parents presented the curiosities visited and friends raved about these discoveries from a distance. We said: “but it’s great”, “I never would have imagined that” or even “what if we went there?”. Everyone was toasting, feeling a little bored and smiling.
