Ariana Grande feels “deeply grateful” for her fans’ support.
The 31-year-old star has gained a lot of popularity over the years, including more than 370 million followers on Instagram, and she now loves the fact that her fans have adopted her “Wicked” character, Glinda.
Ariana, who stars in the musical alongside Cynthia Erivo, told The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s interesting because my fans have grown up with me through so many different phases and eras of my life, and in the how they embraced Glinda and ‘Wicked’ and were there for me to support me… I wasn’t really on social media during the process of filming this movie. I wasn’t really engaged like I normally am with them because I wanted to fully dedicate myself to this experience and not be on my phone too much. They called it ‘the dark ages’. I’m not kidding. And it’s just because they missed me. But it’s a magnificent thing. It’s a beautiful thing to be on the other side and for them to recognize the work I was doing and grow with them.”
