CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Bruce Wayne now have something in common.
They drive the same car. Well almost…
Burrow purchased one of 10 officially licensed, fully functional Batmobiles sold by Wayne Enterprises Experiences. The latest addition to his car collection was revealed in the premiere episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks: In Season with the AFC North,” which aired Tuesday night.
“Did I tell you I bought a Batmobile?” ” Burrow told receivers Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase during a workout last week. “I won’t get it for a year, but I bought one. »
Burrow is one of ten people who have received permission to purchase one of the replica vehicles. The cost: US$2.99 million.
It has just about everything a budding superhero or NFL quarterback could want in a vehicle: a 525-horsepower 6.2-liter General Motors engine, mock weapon turrets, smoke screen broadcast and a jet engine simulation (without flames, however).
It’s a little different from the electric vehicles Burrow prefers. But it’s rare that a replica of the so-called “Tumbler” is available for purchase.
In the clip that aired Tuesday night, Burrow joked that additional purchases might be necessary.
“I think I need to go all the way and buy the most expensive bat costume,” Burrow told Chase.
