The Prix des Rencontres Internationales du Trotteur Français was organized this Friday, November 29 in Vincennes. 15 professional drivers were invited to take part in this event: 13 of them came from signatory countries of the Trotteur Français production convention (11 ultimately took part in the race – because two horses were declared non-runners), while Yoann Lebourgeois and Benjamin Rochard represented France.
Already in the spotlight in 2021 with Sean Kane, Ireland won this meeting again thanks to Jonathan Cowden, associated with Gassman d’Essa (training by Kévin Busnel). Third in the European Apprentice Championship in 2019, the 24-year-old driver has 127 victories on his land, and has already gained great experience with horses, having done horse riding at a younger age before devoting himself to racing horse racing. On this subject, trotting is not his only activity, “only part time” he explained after the race, he who is also very active among the gallopers. Although he was not at his first attempt in France (having already run a few races at Argentan), the young professional did not miss his debut at Vincennes. He is ahead of the favorite of the event, Glorious Beautifulassociated with Benjamin Rochard, whileIf I Tell You completes the podium, associated with Jiri Svoboda. The Czech driver is none other than the owner ofHannahgroup II winner two years ago.
