Prince Ludwig of Bavaria married Sophie-Alexandra Evekink this Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the Theatine Church in Munich. V of Spain. But Ludwig also has for great-great-grandfather the Grand Duke Guillaume IV of Luxembourg and King Michael 1st of Portugal. By this branch, the groom is a cousin of the Luxembourg Grand Ducal family, the Portuguese royal family and their cousins ​​from the Brazilian imperial family.

Prince Louis, 36, the third son of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, represented the Grand Ducal family at the wedding. He came accompanied. Prince Louis, divorced father of two, broke off his engagement himself in 2022 while his second marriage was in preparation.

Prince Louis also appeared close to his cousins, Prince Rafael, 37, and his sister, Princess Maria Gabriela of Orléans-Braganza, 33, sent to Munich to represent the imperial family of Brazil. Rafael and Maria Gabriela are the children of Prince Antônio, brother of the current head of the imperial family. Michel 1er is the father-in-law of Grand Duke Guillaume IV of Luxembourg but also the grandfather of Prince Félix de Bourbon-Parme, husband of Grand Duchess Charlotte and great-grandfather of Prince Louis.
