Art’zimut is starting its sixth cultural tour 2024, in association with the NGO CFCD (French Center for Communication and Sustainable Development), from December 5 to 8, around Chad.
This latest Art’zimut tour “by the fireside” will stop at three houses in Cornac and Saint-Michel-Loubéjou, with Doro Dimanta from Lafia Compagnie, a Franco-Chadian musician and storyteller. Usual meetings with locals at 7 p.m., accompanied by a shared meal as it should be, to create conviviality. In addition to a private invitation by the owners, Art’zimut invites the public (limited places) to book on 06 88 63 25 43 or on the epicerieculturelle.fr website.
In addition to this tour, the NGO CFCD is organizing a day around Chad on Sunday December 8 at the Cornac village hall. Meet at 12:30 p.m. for an African meal (€15 adults and €8 children) followed by an exchange at 3 p.m. with the president of the NGO and a live video with Chadian women. At 4:30 p.m., the day ends with the Doro concert. Meal reservations and information on the day: 06 66 78 43 71.
All profits from this day will be donated to humanitarian actions in Chad. Alongside these days, Doro will speak in schools in Carennac and Saint-Céré, an opportunity for children to discover a country through the power of music and stories. These four days will also be an opportunity to return to the heart of the African continent through the actions of the NGO which has been working for many years in Chad, organizing solidarity and ecological projects linked to women’s autonomy and climate change. and the protection of biodiversity. “All the major themes discussed during these four days,” says Marc Guiochet, co-president of Art’zimut, “are also relevant in France. An opportunity to reflect on our relationship with the world and to strengthen our empathy.”
