An investigation published this Wednesday by Politis reports serious accusations against actor Gérard Darmon. Nine women, all technicians and having worked on six shoots between 2018 and last summer, denounce sexist behavior and sexual violence, citing “humiliation”, “sexist insults”, a “feeling of insecurity” and ” propositions of a sexual nature or non-consensual physical contact.”
The victims held positions such as dressers, makeup artists, director or production assistants.

The victims report a profound dilemma: that of denouncing this violence while fearing for their professional future. “These are relationships of control of a person who is all-powerful and who knows that if he leaves, the film stops,” declares one of them. The actor denies the facts
Ten other women reportedly shared similar testimonies with Politicalbut preferred to remain anonymous, fearing the consequences of media coverage.
Contacted by PoliticalGérard Darmon denied the accusations against him and refused to answer a list of questions sent by email and message.
