According to an investigation by the media Politis, nine women accuse French actor Gérard Darmon of sexist and sexual violence.
They are makeup artists, dressers, hairdressers and even production assistants. These professionals from the cinema sector complained about comments and gestures “displaced” from the actor Gérard Darmon. According to their testimonies, these actions took place on the set of six different films, between 2018 and 2024.
According to the complainants, Gérard Darmon was guilty of “humiliations“and of having uttered “sexist insults”. Some of them mention non-consensual physical contact and propositions of a sexual nature.
In doing so, the actor would have been guilty of having established a “permanent climate of insecurity”according to the plaintiffs.
