On tour for their new album, the American rock group had to cancel two dates, on July 2 and 3 in Berlin. They have already been forced to cancel a concert in London last Saturday.
New blow for fans of Pearl JamThe rock group will not perform in Berlin on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 July “due to health problems” they announced in a statement on Sunday 30 June.
This announcement follows the first cancellation of a concert in London last Saturday for similar reasons.
On tour to promote Dark Mattertheir latest and twelfth album, several members of Pearl Jam have been experiencing health problems since late June, including lead singer Eddie Vedder. Vedder has been experiencing vocal difficulties since one of their concerts in Dublin, where he contracted an illness.
In its statement, the Seattle-based band expressed its regrets to its fans: “Believe that we never take these decisions lightly (…) We would have liked a postponement to be possible for this part of the tour and we hope to return to Berlin soon.”
Berlin fans will be able to get a refund at their point of purchase. The next concert, which has been maintained to date, is scheduled for Barcelona on July 6.
