The concert is essentially part of the promotion of the EP “Nlaku” which means “flame” and which marks an essential turning point in the career of Mwassi Moyindo on the professional slam market since 2021 with his first piece “Zala yo.” “ The title of this EP symbolizes the flame that has brought us this far. It is the passion, the desire to succeed and move forward, despite everything negative that may be around or despite the lack, whether financial or even logistical. We managed to be here today thanks to the flame of love we have for slam ”, detailed Mwassi Moyindo.
Released last June, “Nlaku” has six titles, namely “Nlaku”, “Yango”, “Belle”, “Reste”, “Naza sé wa yo” and finally “Pause”. For this EP, Mwassi Moyindo wanted to reveal a part of his life, his emotions, his view of the world or even his vision of women and their place in society. It is therefore with great pleasure that she will perform these titles during her concert on November 22 at the IFC. “”Nlaku” was released sometime after the concert I held at Canal Olympia. Since then, I haven’t really had another opportunity to meet this audience, these people who carried me and took me this far. So I said to myself that it would be interesting to see them again, to go back and meet them. That’s why it was important for me before December to do this concert ”, confided the Black Woman.
In addition to the titles appearing in the EP “Nlaku”, some old singles from the slammer will also be on the program. Regarding the guests of this event, Mwassi Moyindo preferred to keep the suspense and therefore invites the public to respond in large numbers to his invitation. Indeed, the artist emphasized, “ this concert will be a mixture of singing and dancing, rich in color, with surprise guests to celebrate together. I really like the party, the sounds. I don’t know how to dance, but I really like dancing. So it will really be a spectacle ».
Also requested in other cities of the country, Mwassi Moyindo indicated that the will is there but that the financial means and sponsors are lacking for performances in Pointe-Noire, Dolisie, Nkayi, Oyo or Owando. She took advantage of the opportunity to launch a call to film makers in order to make this project a reality because until now it is through self-production or co-production that the artist is living her career. Note that after the IFC, the artist plans an international tour to promote his EP “Nlaku” outside the borders of Congo.
