A new literary prize is being created, dedicated to works written by author duos. Imagined by the author and former communications director of the Prisma Média group Anna Véronique El Bazejoined by independent literary journalist Karine Papillaudthe Galatea Prize will reward “writing duos”.
Two categories are created:
- The Galatea Testimony Prize : open to works which highlight the truth of a character, whatever the field: biography, profession of faith, opinion, literature of reality, etc.
- The Duo Galatea Prize : open to all fields and subjects, documentary works, essays, autobiographical stories, current affairs investigations, research, philosophy, travel, etc.
For its first edition, the jury will be made up of personalities from the literary, artistic and media worlds: Fabrice Colinjournalist and writer; Anna Véronique El Bazeauthor (creator of the prize); Eric Giacomettiwriter and screenwriter; Vincent Jaurypress publisher; Anne Le Nenactress and author; Marc Levy, writer; Karine Papillaudliterary journalist (artistic director of the prize); Sandrine Quétiersinger-songwriter and actress.
The prize is open to co-authored works, whether the co-authors are both engaged in writing a book (interview or dialogue format, for example) or whether the co-authors are a pen – writer or journalist – and a “witness” personality.
Can compete for 1era edition of the prize, books published between 1is January 2024 and March 30, 2025 (registrations close on January 31, 2025).
The prizes will be awarded in June 2025 during an evening at the Buddha-Bar Paris, partner of the Galatea Prize, including David Setroukco-founder of the event, made the new Parisian meeting place for literary releases and signings.
