“Culture everywhere and for everyone”. Carole Delgapresident of the Region Occitanierecently inaugurated the new Cinema Le Grand Rio in Lannemezan (Hautes-Pyrénées).

With 900,000 euros in subsidies, the Occitanie region was the “triggering financier”, underlined Carole Delga during the inauguration. In addition, the community is a player in real estate ownership. “We helped a lot, but it deserved it,” said the elected official.

Located where the Calf marketthe cinema opened its doors to the public this summer. In total, the new equipment has 355 seats spread across three rooms. The cinema features 4K laser projectors, reclining seats and Dolby sound. Without forgetting 3D!

A cinema in the heart of the city

Charles Mascagni is the managing operator of the Grand Rio. He also runs the Cinema Le Régent in Saint-Gaudens and the Cinema Le Grand Palais in Cahors. “Only cinemas in the heart of the city, with quality programming,” insists Carole Delga.

“Charles and his teams are perfectly aware of the cultural needs in rural areas. It is indeed important to maintain cultural attractiveness in the heart of our towns and villages.
