On the Motte side, we are preparing to conclude the musical season with a very friendly reunion, this Saturday, November 23. The year 2024 was indeed rich in both musical and convivial events for the Estibeaux clique.

“The season began in March with a fanfare festival in Samadet, where the Arrigans musicians were able to distill the good atmosphere through their covers of great musical hits, during a very enriching musical exchange” underlines Sonia Labadie, chef emblematic of the training.

Thanks to the dynamism of all the musicians, the clique then held its place during the numerous summer solicitations, while the five students from the music school were able to take their first steps in the ranks. “We are happy to see our clique training attract young people from the village and neighboring towns. »

Brotherhood and birthday

The musical group had the honor of being inducted into the Brotherhood of Knights of Traditions because of its intergenerational musical commitment and its respect for the duty of memory. “This recognition is a source of pride for our clique, which is one of the last in the department,” admits Sonia Labadie.

In September, the clique celebrated its 70th anniversary. Over the course of a weekend, former musicians, villagers and relatives of the association came to celebrate this anniversary and show their gratitude to musical training. Sonia’s eyes still sparkle as she remembers this festive and friendly weekend, where we felt the attachment of the Estibeaussais for her clique.

The season will therefore end, as usual, with Sainte-Cécile Day on Saturday, November 23. The first notes of the concert will resonate at 7 p.m. in the sports hall. “The celebration around Sainte-Cécile is eagerly awaited, not only by the musicians, but also by their parents, their families and their friends; we have a very loyal group of supporters and we are happy to share one last weekend with them,” concludes Sonia Labadie.
