“Design a new architecture that would meet the challenges of tomorrow. » As part of the Millennium of Caen 2025, the city launched, with the Pavilion, Monday October 28, 2024 an international architectural competition for “reinventing beach huts”.
Candidates, state graduates (DE) in architecture or landscape, designers and designers, must “give free rein to their creativity to design a “new” architecture that would meet the challenges of tomorrow”. These creators, French or foreign, aged 20 to 35, have until December 15, 2024 to submit their project to the city.
The cabin exposed all summer
Once the jury has selected the winner, in March 2025, the life-size beach cabin will be exhibited all summer at the Hermanville-sur-Mer swimming pool, near the sea wall and the sea, from June 29, 2025. As for the finalists’ projects, they will be the subject of an exhibition at the Pavilion, on the Caen Peninsula, from June 21 to September 21, 2025.
