Actor Thierry Lhermitte finally comes out of silence after the death of his friend Michel Blanc.

The members of the Splendid troupe have been rather discreet since the disappearance of their partner Michel Blanc a month ago.

Come to discuss the release of the work The Splendid on the Splendidon November 21, on the occasion of the troupe’s 50th anniversary, Thierry Lhermitte explained this daily silence The Parisian.

“We didn’t want to. We are not forced to share our pain. I don’t feel any obligation of any kind, especially in the heat of the moment,” he explained.

Thierry Lhermitte then spoke about this book which brings together photos and texts from the troupe. “At first, I only read what I had written to check the bullshit. The day Michel died, I didn’t sleep, I read everything he had written, it shocked me,” he confides.

The actor then found comfort in reading all the texts in full. “And then I read what everyone had done and it was so cool. (…) I found the texts so warm,” assures the actor who will celebrate his 72nd birthday on November 24.

For him, “these are love letters that we write to each other”. His only regret: Michel Blanc perhaps did not have the time to read all these marks of affection, as the actor explains Dinner for idiots.

“What I said to Michel in it was recorded a month before his death, I was happy at the idea of him discovering it, but he must not have had the time to read it. The final proof (editor’s note: the last proof before printing) was three days before his disappearance. Has he read everything? I don’t know,” added Thierry Lhermitte.
