For those returning from a very long journey into the depths of the galaxy, a little historical reminder is in order. Les Rockeurs ont du Cœur were born in Nantes in 1988 at the instigation of the mother of one of the musicians of the legendary group Elmer Food Beat who made a name for themselves in the 80s/90s with some hits as essential as they are eternal, Daniela, Plastic is fantastic or even The Cashier at Leclerc to name just these three.
With an idea: to share a musical moment in a friendly and good mood and collect toys by the thousands, something to warm up the winter of disadvantaged children a little.
It’s very simple, you run to the nearest toy store, you buy a toy worth at least 10 euros and rush out without wrapping it, without opening the package either, on the evening of the show, December 14 this year, at the Stereolux room in Nantes. This toy will be your ticket to an evening of musical madness with some artists from here and elsewhere, and surprises.
Elmer Food Beat, Keep Cooking Mama, the Schtauss, Squealer, EV wrote the history of this event by participating in the first edition played in 1988.
Since then, a number of artists, more or less local, have joined these big-hearted rockers. Among them: The Little Rabbits, Katerine, Les Chaéléons, Dominique A, Dolly, Jeanne Cherhal, Eiffel, Dominic Sonic, Yodelice, C2C, Cabadzi, Deportivo, La Maison Tellier, Gaume, Edith Nylon, Dynamite Shaker… with always the same desire celebration, sharing and solidarity.
That’s on the stage side. On the backstage side, there are several dozen volunteers who officiate in the shadows and on the pit side, several tens of thousands of spectators who have been present since the first edition.
In 2024, we’re not changing anything except the bill with a Franco-French program bringing together this year the Brestois Matmatah, Le Parisien Yarol Poupaud, the Normans You Said Strange, the Angevins Lame, the Nantes The Natas and Dj Vicky .
Can’t be there the night of the concert? No worries. Collections initiated in 2020 to deal with covid will be organized, notably at the Talensac market on December 12, 13 and 14, and at the Rezé record fair on December 7 and 8.
Good ideas are meant to be shared. In fact, the concept of Rockers Have Heart has developed in several cities in France in recent years. Saint-Nazaire joins them in 2024 with a first edition on November 29 at the VIP bringing together Undergods, Outrage, Les 3 Fromages, Pulk, Aymeric Maini and the Chorale 100% Rock…
