The adventure continues for Gérard Quintana’s film, “Little Hands of the Barousse Valley”. Its “actors” toured the media and the screening at the Saint-Gaudens cinema was a great success.

After a day full of emotions for a report which will be broadcast on 3, where Christophe Romain and Frédéric Desse brilliantly captured the very essence of the documentary, the exploration of passionate breeders, producers and artisans continues. Following this first step, it is now the turn of Radio Coteaux.

The film’s lead actors were interviewed for over an hour, providing a fascinating insight into their daily lives and challenges. The discussions were rich and authentic, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in the world of these dedicated artisans. This moment of sharing was a true gift, both for the speakers and for those who had the chance to listen. The testimonies collected will remain engraved in everyone’s memory, illustrating the importance of these little hands which shape our culture and our identity. The enthusiasm and passion that emanate from these meetings remind us how crucial it is to support and promote these exceptional professions.

The adventure is only just beginning, and each step brings us a little closer to the richness of our living heritage. Thomas Micquel, the director of the Le Régent cinema in Saint-Gaudens, has not seen such enthusiasm among spectators for a documentary for a long time. With nearly 350 seats already reserved, the Saint-Gaudens cinema is enjoying unprecedented success! If this enthusiasm continues, a second room will be opened to accommodate even more spectators.

This documentary highlights the essential players in the Barousse valley, those who feed us on a daily basis, while exploring themes such as transhumance and summer pastures. Please note, however, that cheese making will not be discussed in this film, that is not the subject… A great opportunity to discover and raise public awareness of these fascinating professions.
