IThey won their case. Friday, November 15, the industrial tribunal ruled in favor of three former colleagues of the star host of NRJ, Manu Levy, who accused him of “moral harassment”and ordered the radio to pay them more than 300,000 euros in total.

Isabelle Giami, Valentin Chevalier and Aude Fraineau, who demanded the reclassification of their contracts as permanent contracts or, for the third, additional overtime, must also be compensated for the moral damage suffered, according to the judgment, to which assisted a journalist from Agence -Presse (AFP).

“It’s a big, fairly clear and severe victory for NRJ”welcomed their lawyer Mr. Pierre Vignal, contacted by AFP by telephone. “Clearly, moral harassment has been recognized”he estimated. Asked by AFP, the NRJ group did not react immediately.

The case had five plaintiffs, four of whom were successful. Cyrille Laporte, member of the social and economic committee (CSE) of the NRJ group, who contested a warning received after an attempted dismissal, must also be compensated to the tune of approximately 8,000 euros. Another complainant, Pauline Goireau, who linked the end of her trial period in the NRJ podcast subsidiary to the fact that her partner, Valentin Chevalier, was “whistleblower”on the other hand, had his requests rejected.

Manu Levy’s former collaborators, at the helm of the radio morning show since 2011, criticize him “extreme control” et “an immense workload”Me Vignal explained to AFP in April. “All have seen their health affected” et “suffered career damage”he added, affirming that the harassment was “the determinant” of their departure from the radio station in 2023.

The host, for his part, “categorically refutes all the facts with which (he is) overwhelmed”. “In 13 seasons on NRJ, I have not been aware of any complaint concerning me. Over the last 10 years, Valentin Chevalier has stayed 8 years, Isabelle Giami 5 years”he emphasized in April in a statement sent to AFP. Gaël Sanquer, deputy director of musical media for the NRJ group, pointed out the “blackboard, caricatured and misleading” drawn up by the plaintiffs.
