Major festivals sometimes overshadow others who deserve a lot of spotlight. This is the case of Œillades French-speaking film festivalin Albi (Tarn). To make himself heard, he chose music as the theme of his 28e edition, from November 19 to 25, 2024.
The Œillades therefore change their theme each year. But no formula. With around thirty previews, revivals of favorite films, feature films in competition, actors and directors who are making the trip…
In music
The 2024 edition therefore proposes to highlight music in the 7e Art. With programming in tune, Young ladies of Rochefort (1967) by Jacques Demy, Emilia Perez (2024) by Jacques Audiard, including the still unreleased film In the Nguyens’ kitchen de Stéphane Ly-Cuong.
But there will also be composers who will come to talk about their profession, sound effects workshops, film concerts…
And to set the tone, from the opening ceremony, we will find The pianist’s choice by Jacques Otmezguine, in preview.
11 films in competition
Otherwise, of course, the programming goes beyond the simple musical theme, with 30 films in preview, including 11 in competition. Among them, Twenty Gods by Louise Courvoisier, Jane Austen ruined my lifeby Laura Piani or even A fanfareby Emmanuel Courcol and Mikado by Baya Kasmo with Ramzy Bédia and Félix Moati.

As for guests, we can count on Julie Gayet, who will present her feature film event on Olympe de Gouges, Olympe, a woman in the revolution.
