the essential
The multicultural hall will host six concerts during its Musica Técou programming. Proof of the place of choice that this small village takes in the departmental cultural offering.

It is a town of 1,100 inhabitants, nestled a few kilometers from Gaillac. A rural place, an ode to nature. And there, a magnificent multicultural room can accommodate 300 people in a seated configuration and 800 standing. A rare infrastructure in the rural world, the will of the municipality which was able to bring this project to fruition with aid from Europe, the State, the region and the department. Inaugurated in 2021, it has since offered a rich program which today makes it an important place in Tarn culture.

“It is a strong choice of the town hall, to create a social link with the population. The desire for people to meet, discuss, discover each other. There is obviously this room, but also a café-restaurant and grocery store to keep our community going,” summarizes Coralie Reboulet, cultural coordinator of the multicultural room and the MJC.

When we look closely at the programming of this second Musica Técou festival, which last year welcomed 1,100 people, we discover names in high-end classical .

A high-flying program

“We are lucky to have René Koering as artistic director. He was director of Musique and the Opera. Without forgetting that he is a pianist and composer. He knows the world of classical music very well. This helps with such programming,” admits Coralie. We can cite the pianist Georges Pludermacher, the clarinetist Andréa Fallico, Alexandre Paley. But Musica Técou will offer other universes. Soul and gospel with Emmanuel Pi Djob and to close the event, the remarkable Juliette. Enough to enjoy the evenings. Between Técou en Blues and Musica Técou, the room is starting to make a real name for itself. “We are increasing collaborations as a true collective, so that the cultural proposals are as numerous as possible. »

The town becomes an important place in Tarn culture

She adds: “We work with the Scène nationale -Tarn, Notes de Saison and Técou en Blues. But we don’t just offer music. We also host dance, theater and circus. Not forgetting the resident companies who will offer their show free of charge to the public. » In Técou, meetings are fundamental. “We do everything so that the public, the population, the children meet the artists,” concludes the cultural coordinator who promises new and beautiful surprises for the near future. When we tell you that Técou becomes an important place in Tarn culture.
