The Halles de la Cartoucherie will offer a festive program in in December: markets, concerts, workshops, evenings and a large banquet to celebrate the new year.

The Halles de la Cartoucherie will display their finest regalia for the end-of-year celebrations in December. At nightfall, the Place de la Charte des Libertés Communales and the historic facade of Les Halles will light up, on certain evenings, thanks to visual projections by the artist Captain D. Light. Inside the building, several festive events are scheduled. Among them, a Christmas karaoke on December 5 and a Christmas bingo on the 12th, hosted by the collective of drag artists La Maison Clinquante. La Cabane will also offer comedy, music and hip-hop dance shows, as well as performances by Critical Hifi, Madame Arthur and Extrawelt.

Families will find something to rejoice with Christmas stories and creative workshops organized on December 8 and 15 by the booksellers of the Other Rive. Little ones will be able to attend four shows for young audiences on December 23, 24 and January 2 and 3. The Roof climbing gym, for its part, offers an introductory course in climbing and circus from December 23 to 30, while the Breakin School offers hip-hop, rap and beatbox workshops from December 30 to January 3.

The New Year’s Banquet

To end the year in style, Les Halles is organizing its first New Year’s Banquet on December 31. From 7:30 p.m., festive tables will be set, with a collaborative buffet offered by the lodge restaurateurs. The evening will continue on the dance floor until 3 a.m. (reservation required, €60 to €75 per person).

Finally, the weekends in December will be devoted to designer markets, where the public will be able to find unique and ethical gifts. Several local collectives, such as Mercy, Les Munitionnettes and Les Autantik, will present their creations, offering solidarity and local alternatives for the end-of-year celebrations. A solidarity collection of toys and basic necessities will also be carried out during the month.

Les Halles are open from 8 a.m. every day. Closed at midnight from Sunday to Wednesday, 1 a.m. from Thursday to Saturday. Early closing on December 24: at 3 p.m. for the food stands, at 6 p.m. for the sports areas. Exceptional closure on December 25.
