“I had three operations, I started chemo, I lost a little hair,” he listed on the set of the American show Today. “It’s B-cell lymphoma, it’s a very aggressive type of lymphoma.”

The diagnosis came a little over a month ago, after symptoms which alerted him: in the grip of a cold, Dave Coulier discovered a lymph node “the size of a golf ball” in the region. of the groin. He then decided to see a doctor; the first blood test results came back negative, “but (the medical staff) said: ‘it grew quickly, we need to check’.” After extensive testing, including a PET scan and biopsy, the cancer was identified.

Worrying disease, encouraging prognosis

Since then, “it’s been a bit of a roller coaster,” he explains. “There are days when I feel perfectly fine. And then there are others where I lie back and accept that this is how it is.”

However, he reports an encouraging prognosis, with examinations revealing that the cancer had not spread to the spinal cord. “Which means a cure rate which can go up to more than 90%,” he emphasizes.

The actor will have six chemotherapy sessions, spaced 21 days apart, and should have completed his treatment in February 2025. He talks about the support of his wife, Melissa, and his son Luc, who is himself preparing to become a father .

John Stamos, who played opposite him during the 8 seasons of The House Party broadcast between 1987 and 1995, sent him his sympathy on Instagram:
