Without getting too wet, we can say that Attack on Titan has established itself as one of the most important mangas and anime of recent years. With its mature tone, its gore side and its twists and turns galore, Hajime Isayama’s work quickly established itself as a classic as it was unanimously acclaimed. And yet, all good things come to an end and it was in 2021 that the manga ended, before the anime followed suit last year, after many final seasons. While the page seems to have been turned for Attack on Titan, the franchise is making waves again with the release of a film in theaters. Attack On Titan: Last Attack is an animated film released in theaters in Japan since November 8. Rather than an original creation, this is a summary of the last four episodes of the series brought together in a single feature film, so you can enjoy them in one go at the cinema. Nothing new for fans of the franchise for whom the interest is simply to discover the conclusion of the anime again, but this time in good conditions in the cinema rather than at home in streaming. And yet, the producers indicated that the film would feature a never-before-seen post-credits scenenever before seen in anime, just to pique the interest of fans and attract people to cinemas. Now that we have the feature film, we finally know it and if it may seem confusing at first, it will bring back good memories to fans.

An astonishing post-credits scene

In the post-credits scene of Attack On Titan: Last Attack, we discover Eren, Armin and Mikasa, the three heroes of Attack on Titan, but this time in a contemporary context since we find them in the cinema. We then see them with modern outfits, which is a change from their uniforms in the original work. While this may seem surprising at first, it is in fact an adaptation of Attack On School Caste, a set of chapters written and drawn by Hajime Isayma which imagine the heroes of Attack on Titan in a world close to ours where Titans do not exist. Enough to discover these characters in a new light, in particular Mikasa in a gothic style which seems to have a lot more on social networks.
