But Mardoché “Marco” Mouly, known for his massive carbon tax scam, will have to go back to prison : he was sentenced in his absence, Tuesday in , to three years in prison for “fraud and fraudulent organization of insolvency by debtor”. He is the subject of an arrest warrant. According to our information, Marco Mouly did not intend to surrender and could start a new run.

He was suspected of having orchestrated his insolvency so as not to pay the fines he received during various trials. On September 26, after 13 hours of judgment, four years in prison and a permanent ban on managing a company were requested against him.

At the end of June 2017, Marco Mouly was sentenced on appeal (with Arnaud Mimran) to eight years’ imprisonment and a fine of one million euros in the so-called “carbon tax” affair, a vast VAT fraud on the market. rights to pollute. Furthermore, Marco Mouly owes very large sums in connection with his other convictions, all cases combined.

Already sentenced to three years in prison

The scammer was notably sentenced to three years in prison in 2019, with a probationary suspension established over a period of three years in a case of VAT fraud to the detriment of the State of Denmark for facts dating back to the years 1998- 1999.

Last March, the sentence enforcement judge found that several of his obligations had not been respected. According to the magistrate, the person concerned held “a fictitious job” as a community manager and he provided the justice system with false pay slips. Marco “the Elegant”, nicknamed so because of his always carefully chosen outfits, returned to prison after the partial revocation of his suspended sentence. He was released on November 2.
